The answer is yet. Begin by giving your cat gradual doses to begin introducing the CBD oil. But start small and go up until your furry companion is feeling happier and calmer. A little less, or even a little more oil will not do any harm. Dosing can easily remain approximate until you’re able to find what works best for your cat.
It is recommended to directly add CBD to the gums for fastest absorption. Many people add the CBD oil to their pets and mix. We have found that the CBD oil absorbs best when it is not taken on a full stomach. Please monitor your pets when giving them CBD. You may need to adjust the dosage accordingly.
Naturally, pet owners will be concerned about giving anything new to their pets. However, there’s nothing to worry about with CBD. Studies and reports consistently show just how safe it is to use for everybody. With minimal side effects and no risk of addiction or overdose, it’s an extremely risk-free substance. However, it is important to note that pets should be taking pet products specifically and not a product designed for humans. CBD won’t make your pets high, nor will it give them any harmful side effects. It’s also completely free from addictive qualities and it’s impossible to overdose on CBD. With all that said, you can give CBD to your pets regularly without any worries whatsoever.
Start your pet's daily wellness routine with CBD today. Whether it be CBD treats, CBD oils, CBD peanut butter, or topicals such as CBD balm – the options are endless. Across the wide range of products available now to pet owners, you can target the specific needs of your pet including joint stiffness, joint pain, body aches, arthritis, stress, anxiety, or other situational stress-inducing triggers like car rides, the vet’s office – giving your pet CBD may help benefit from all their ailments. When giving your dog any new medications or supplements, consult your veterinarian before giving your dog CBD.
Just like humans, each pet condition is different so the reaction times for CBD may vary. Consistency is key, along with following our dosage instructions. For situation anxiety and pain, you may begin to see changes in a couple days. Remember monitoring your pet is equally as important. If you don’t see changes, you will need to up the dose slowly and carefully. Remember, your pets cannot overdose, it may take a bit of time and testing to find the right amount of CBD for your pets.
CBD is an inhibitor of cytochrome P450 and has the potential to affect the metabolism of other drugs. While this appears to be of minimal clinical significance in most cases, this may be important when CBD is used in a pet for seizure control. Remember that owners may discontinue anticonvulsants on their own if they feel that CBD is controlling their pet's seizures (yay!), so this is an important discussion to have with your veterinarian.
Always follow instructions on dosage from Penelope’s Bloom. To achieve the desired results, you should give your companion the ideal dosage. But if you do overdo it, most cases do not need treatment.
Research suggests that dogs can use CBD just as effectively as humans can to help induce relaxation, decrease stress, promote calmness and help with the pain. Even though dogs can use CBD like humans, it is important to also note that dogs should not use CBD that is designed specifically for humans. When CBD is consumed, it binds to cannabinoid receptors in the body and interacts with the endocannabinoid system, which has links to things like memory, pain sensation, digestion, immune function, and more. Since mammals have the same endocannabinoid system, dogs and cats can consume CBD just like humans can. While CBD isn’t classed as a medical product, many users find it useful as a daily supplement- much like a multivitamin. It’s used by people of all ages and backgrounds and can even be used for pets such as cats and dogs.
