Why Full-Spectrum CBD oil?
Our blend includes organic full-spectrum CBD oil, MCT oil, and chamomile oil. All Penelope’s Bloom CBD products are made with full-spectrum CBD oil versus broad spectrum oil because it has more components that truly make it more valuable. Full-spectrum CBD oil includes the leaf, stalk, and seeds of the hemp plant. The final product includes all naturally present cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and fatty acids. Full spectrum oil contains vitamins, essential fats and protein. This is sometimes called the “entourage effect” the idea that every cannabinoids works together to produce a desired effect. Studies have shown full-spectrum CBD has longer lasting effects compared to other oils.
•Cannabinoids – There are more than 100 cannabinoids present in hemp plants; CBD, CBG and many more among them.
•Terpenes – These are responsible for hemp’s fragrance. Terpenes, for the most part, make up the hemp plant’s essential oil. They can also have therapeutic benefits.
•Flavonoids – These are found in all kinds of plants including everyday fruits, vegetables, and more. Like terpenes, flavonoids have been shown to have some therapeutic applications, too.
Our first ingredient, the chamomile plant has anti-inflammatory properties and is a natural muscle relaxant. By ingesting chamomile, it can help relax muscles in the stomach to decrease gas and pain especially with pets with digestive issues. Chamomile has also been used in traditional remedies for calmer, happier moods and healthy brain function for thousands of years.
Our second powerful ingredient is Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) Oil, also known as coconut oil. Coconut oil comes from the meat of coconuts harvested form the coconut palm. Coconut oil consists of at least 90% of saturated “good “ fats which provide many benefits and are a source of fuel and energy. MCTs provide an additional source of anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.
Our third and most important ingredient is organic, full spectrum CBD. This form of CBD oil captures all the fatty acids, cannabinoids (like CBN, CBG, and .03% or less THC), terpenes, and flavonoids that exist naturally in the hemp plant.

Pet CBD FAQ
CBD is completely safe for your pets to consume in the same way that it is safe for your consumption. The effects of CBD come from its ability to stimulate the endocannabinoid system, which is involved in the body’s ability to process certain functions. These organic systems are found in every mammal on earth, meaning that many animals also possess it. This system is something that we share with our pets, and differences are minute enough that the effects of CBD on a human and the effects on an animal are extremely similar.
We can’t make any direct medical claims, as the mass of peer reviewed evidence for CBDs efficacy just isn’t there yet. From a strictly dietary perspective, though, CBD can also be really good for your dog because of its high protein content and the composition of its Omega 6 and Omega 3 ratio, and its high content of fatty acids. This makes it healthier for your pet than fish or flaxseed oil, which can cause allergic reactions in some pets.
You’ll see this comparison thrown around a lot and, in some cases, it means the same thing. CBD oil is generally derived from the hemp plant, and then integrated into products like this tincture. The detail matters when it comes to type of CBD oil. Since Penelope's Bloom utilizes full spectrum CBD oil in all of our products, you are getting all the cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids that naturally exist in the plant. Other products may use what’s called a CBD isolate, which is a distilled version that contains only one cannabinoid without the added benefits of terpenes and flavonoids.
This product comes with an easy to use dropper that allows you to administer this tincture directly into your dog’s mouth, or if this isn’t convenient, feel free to add it to their food. If your pet will allow you to use this dropper in their mouths, we recommend dropping it under the tongue. This will allow for the fastest, most efficient absorption of the active ingredients. If you apply it to their food, wait a little longer to see effects.

Questions surrounding the difference of mg–or milligrams–in CBD products for pets are the same as those surrounding CBD concentration. The amount of milligrams of CBD in a product is often portioned according to the type of animal that the product is being geared toward. Some products are filled with CBD, while others contain almost none. Those with high concentrations are usually designed with larger animals in mind. If you own a large animal and are searching for a CBD product that will satisfy it, these are the ones you should be looking into. The reverse could be said for products with low concentration. These are ideal for smaller animals whose weights signal that they do not require much CBD in order to feel its effects.
